Jam Trade Gaines for 2011 Pick
BAKERSFIELD, November 3, 2010 — The Bakersfield Jam has completed a trade that will send guard Reece Gaines to the Texas Legends in exchange for a second round pick in the 2011 NBA Development League Draft.
Gaines spent last season with the Jam, where he averaged 14.3 points, 4.0 assists and 2.8 rebounds. This 6-6 guard out of Louisville was drafted by the Orlando Magic in the first round as the 15th overall pick of the 2003 NBA Draft. He spent one season with Orlando, moving on to Houston Rockets and Milwaukee Bucks the following season. After spending time in the NBA, Gaines played professionally in Italy.
