Ariza Sprains MCL, Out 6-8 Weeks

Orlando forward Trevor Ariza has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 sprain of the MCL (medial collateral ligament) of his right knee, following an MRI late this afternoon in Los Angeles. Ariza will be out 6-8 weeks following rehabilitation. No surgery is required. He suffered the injury with 46.8 seconds left during the first half of last night's win at Golden State.

This season, Ariza has appeared in 31 games (seven starts) for the Magic, averaging 8.6 ppg., 4.5 rpg., 1.3 apg. and 1.16 stlpg. in 23.0 minpg.

Orlando continues its road trip tomorrow night at the Los Angeles Lakers. Tip-off is 10:30 pm ET.
